SMS Consent & Messaging Disclosure

Last updated: June 2026

Overview

HireJosie is an AI receptionist platform for small businesses. After an AI-handled phone call ends, we may send the caller a one-time SMS summarizing the call, including any follow-up actions and next steps. We also send booking confirmation messages when appointments are scheduled during a call. Messages are sent only to individuals who have just called a business powered by HireJosie.

How Consent Is Obtained (Verbal Opt-In)

Before the call ends, the AI assistant verbally asks the caller for permission to send a text summary. The caller must agree before any message is sent. Below is an example of the verbal consent script used by the AI assistant:

AI Assistant:

"Before we wrap up, I can send you a text summary of what we covered — it's a service from HireJosie, the platform that powers this line. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP anytime to opt out. Would you like me to send that?"

Caller:

"Yes, please."

AI Assistant:

"Great, I'll send that right over. Have a great day!"

If the caller declines, no text message is sent.

What Messages Are Sent

  • Call summary SMS — a one-time message summarizing the call, any follow-up actions, and next steps.
  • Booking confirmation SMS — sent when an appointment is booked during the call, including the date, time, and reference number.

Message Frequency

One message per call interaction. This is not a recurring subscription — messages are triggered only by a call the recipient has just made.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately. You will not receive any further messages. You can re-subscribe at any time by replying START.

Help

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact hello@hirejosie.ai.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile phone service plan. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy & Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or buy phone numbers or messaging consent data with any third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
