What is HireJosie?

HireJosie is an AI receptionist for small businesses. It answers incoming phone calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using a natural-sounding AI voice trained on the business's specific information — services offered, hours, FAQs, staff names, and more.

When a call comes in, HireJosie greets the caller, answers common questions, books appointments directly into Google Calendar, takes messages, and sends a post-call SMS to the caller with relevant follow-up information. After each call, the business owner receives an email summary with a full transcript.

HireJosie replaces voicemail, traditional answering services, and after-hours call handling. It handles an unlimited number of simultaneous calls — there are no busy signals.

How it works

Setup takes under 5 minutes. During onboarding, the business provides its name, industry, phone number, business hours, and a brief description of its services. HireJosie provisions a dedicated local phone number (or works with call forwarding from an existing number).

Once live, HireJosie answers every incoming call. The AI voice introduces itself using a customizable greeting, handles the conversation using the business's knowledge base, and — when appropriate — books an appointment in real time using Google Calendar integration.

Calls can be configured to transfer to a staff member during business hours, escalate emergencies via SMS, or operate in fully autonomous AI mode. The business owner monitors all calls from a real-time dashboard with transcripts, summaries, and call analytics.
