1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (business name, email, phone number), information from calls handled on your behalf (caller phone numbers, call recordings, transcripts, call duration), and usage data from your dashboard interactions. When callers interact with your AI receptionist, we collect their phone number and the content of the conversation for the purpose of delivering the service. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the HireJosie service, including answering calls, sending post-call SMS summaries to callers, sending appointment confirmations, and delivering call summary emails to business owners. Call data is used exclusively to serve your business. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our service quality.

3. SMS and Text Messaging

HireJosie sends transactional SMS messages to callers after their phone call with your AI receptionist ends. These messages include a summary of the call and any follow-up actions discussed. Booking confirmation messages are sent when appointments are scheduled during a call. Messages are sent only to individuals who have initiated a phone call to a business using HireJosie — we never send unsolicited messages or marketing texts to people who have not called. Message frequency depends on call volume and is limited to one message per call interaction. Message and data rates may apply. Callers can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opt-out requests are processed immediately. Callers can re-subscribe by replying START. 4. Caller Phone Number Data

Phone numbers of callers who interact with your AI receptionist are collected and stored to deliver call summaries via SMS, enable callback functionality, and provide call history in your dashboard. Caller phone numbers are associated with the business they called and are not shared across businesses or with any third parties. Callers who opt out of SMS will have their opt-out preference stored to prevent future messages, but their phone number may still appear in your call history for business record-keeping purposes.

5. Data Retention

Call recordings and transcripts are retained for 90 days by default. SMS message records are retained for 90 days. You may request earlier deletion at any time from your dashboard. Account data is retained for 30 days after account cancellation before permanent deletion. Opt-out records are retained indefinitely to ensure we never send messages to individuals who have opted out.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Twilio for telephone and SMS services, and Vapi for AI voice processing. These providers process call and message data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@hirejosie.ai. Callers may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at hello@hirejosie.ai. California residents have additional rights under CCPA. EU residents have rights under GDPR.
